Evening & Weekend Parking in Calgary

Updated June 1, 2026

Evenings and weekends are the cheapest time to park in Calgary. Between free on-street parking and $6 parkade caps, a night out downtown barely costs anything to park.

The evening & weekend rules

Free on-street after 6pm: most downtown ParkPlus zones are free after 6pm Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday.

$6 City parkade caps: City of Calgary parkades cap at about $6 in the evenings, on weekends and on holidays. Some give free evenings if you’ve paid a full daily session.

Enter after 4pm: at several parkades the evening flat rate kicks in if you enter after 4pm — worth timing an early dinner around.
